Cleo Demetriou (born April 23, 2001) is an actress from Cyprus and Britain. She is famous for playing the main role of Matilda in Matilda the Musical in London's West End. Cleo also played Lily Hampton in the CBBC show So Awkward. She even sang a song called "Made of Paper" for a short film called Mâché Man.

Playing Matilda in London
Cleo is best known for her role as Matilda Wormwood in Matilda the Musical. This is a very popular show in London. For her amazing performance, she won an Olivier Award in 2012. This award is a big deal in British theatre!
First Steps on Stage
Cleo started acting on stage in 2009. Her first professional role was playing Gretl in The Sound of Music. She also performed in other plays like Enron and Les Misérables.

Cleo made her first TV appearance in the CBBC show So Awkward. She played a character named Lily Hampton. The show started in 2015. It's about three teenage girls who are a bit awkward at school. They deal with fitting in, annoying parents, and crushes.

In 2018, Cleo was a guest on the CBBC show Saturday Mash-Up!. She got "gunged" (covered in slime!) after losing a vote to her So Awkward co-stars. She returned to the show in 2021 and got gunged again!
