Clifford Daniel Hammonds (born December 18, 1985) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a point guard for Limburg United in the BNXT League. Before becoming a pro, Cliff played college basketball for the Clemson Tigers.

From High School to College Star
Cliff Hammonds grew up in Cairo, Georgia. He went to Cairo High School there. After high school, he played college basketball at Clemson University.
During his four years with the Clemson Tigers, he played 134 games. He was a strong player, averaging about 11 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. He also made about 1.7 steals per game.
Cliff was not just good at basketball; he was also a great student. In 2008, he graduated from Clemson with two college degrees. He studied both architecture and psychology. He also won the first-ever Skip Prosser Award. This award honors the best student-athlete in the ACC men's basketball league.
Playing Pro Basketball Around the World
After college, Cliff Hammonds started his professional basketball journey in Europe. His first team was Darüşşafaka in Turkey in 2008. He also briefly played for Efes Pilsen before returning to Darüşşafaka.
Moving to New Leagues
In the summer of 2009, Cliff played for Piratas de Quebradillas. The next season, he joined Peristeri in Greece. There, he averaged almost 13 points and nearly 4 assists per game.
Over the next few years, Cliff played for several teams across Europe. He signed with ASVEL Basket in France in 2010. Then, he moved to Banvit in Turkey in 2011. In 2012, he played for KK Igokea in Bosnia.
Success in Germany and Beyond
From 2013 to 2015, Cliff played for Alba Berlin in Germany. This was a successful time for him. He helped his team win the German Basketball Cup in 2014. He was also named the Best Defender in the German league twice, in 2014 and 2015.
In 2015, Cliff was picked in the 2015 NBA Development League Draft by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He was then traded to the Reno Bighorns. This gave him a chance to play in the NBA's development league in the United States.
After his time in the US, Cliff returned to Europe. He played for Limoges CSP in France in 2016. Later that year, he joined MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in Germany. In 2017, he signed with s.Oliver Würzburg, another German team.
Later Career and Current Team
In 2018, Cliff moved to Belgium to play for Proximus Spirou. He then returned to Greece in 2019 to play for Ifaistos Limnou. In 2020, he signed with Ionikos Nikaias in Greece.
Since January 2021, Cliff Hammonds has been playing for Limburg United in Belgium. In 2022, he helped his team win the Belgian Basketball Cup. This shows his continued success in professional basketball.
