Coşkun Kırca (born March 27, 1927, died February 24, 2005) was an important person from Turkey. He was a diplomat, a journalist, and a politician. He even served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Turkey in 1995.

Early Life and Education
Coşkun Kırca was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1927. He went to a famous school called Galatasaray High School. After that, he studied law at Istanbul University. In the 1950s, he wrote for a magazine called Forum.
A Career in Diplomacy and Politics
Coşkun Kırca became a diplomat and served his country in different roles. One important event happened on March 12, 1985. At that time, he was the Turkish Ambassador in Ottawa, Canada. The Turkish embassy was attacked by some people. To escape, Mr. Kırca had to jump from a second-floor window. He broke his arm, leg, and pelvis.
Even after this difficult event, he stayed in Canada as ambassador for several more years. Later, he returned to Turkey. There, he held many important government jobs. He became the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1995. He was also a member of the Turkish Parliament.
Later Life and Legacy
Coşkun Kırca passed away in Istanbul in 2005 from a heart attack. He was 77 years old. He was buried at the Feriköy Cemetery in Istanbul. He was married and had three children. He also helped start Galatasaray University, a well-known university in Turkey.
