History of Coahoma
Coahoma was started in the 1880s. It got its name because it is located within Coahoma County.
The town was an important stop on the Mississippi Delta Railroad. This railroad line was finished in 1884.
Geography of Coahoma
Coahoma is found north of Friar Point Road. It is about 2 miles (3.2 km) west of U.S. Route 61. The town is also about 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Friars Point. Friars Point is a town located on the Mississippi River.
