Cobb Creek is a small stream located in the southern part of Missouri, a state in the United States. It flows through the northern tip of Wright County and the central area of Laclede County. This creek is an important part of the Ozarks region, known for its beautiful hills and clear waters.

Cobb Creek eventually joins a larger river system. It is a branch, or tributary, of the Osage Fork Gasconade River.

About Cobb Creek's Journey

Cobb Creek begins its journey in a specific spot. It starts just southeast of a place called Origanna. This starting point is also east of State Route TT, a local road.

Where Does Cobb Creek Flow?

From its beginning, Cobb Creek flows generally towards the north-northeast. As it travels, it passes by a small community named Agnes. Along its path, the creek gets more water from a natural spring called Blue Spring. This adds to its flow.

The creek then continues its journey. It flows just to the west of another community, Drew.

Where Does Cobb Creek End?

Cobb Creek's journey ends when it meets the Osage Fork. This meeting point, or confluence, happens northwest of Drew. At this spot, the elevation of the stream is about 961 feet above sea level. This means it's quite high up in the landscape.

Why Is It Called Cobb Creek?

The name "Cobb Creek" comes from a local family. A family named Cobb lived in the area for a long time. It was common for natural features like streams to be named after important local families. This helps us remember the history of the area and the people who lived there.
