The Coca-Cola Music Hall is a modern place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where you can enjoy live music and concerts. It's found at 250 Convention Boulevard in the Isla Grande neighborhood. This venue is managed by a company called ASM Global.
The Coca-Cola Music Hall is part of a bigger fun area known as the T-Mobile District. This district is located within the Puerto Rico Convention District.
History of the Music Hall
The Coca-Cola Music Hall was built as part of a large plan to develop the area around the Puerto Rico Convention Center. This whole entertainment area was first called District Live!
It was designed to be a major hub for fun and entertainment. This included two places for live music, an outdoor plaza with a stage, shops, restaurants, and a Caribbean Cinemas movie theater. Later, this entire area was officially opened as the T-Mobile District.
Construction for the T-Mobile District, including the Coca-Cola Music Hall, began in 2016. This big project was meant to add more attractions near the Puerto Rico Convention Center, which had opened in 2005.
The Coca-Cola Music Hall was planned to be a top-notch place for live events. It was built with a really good sound system and a huge 75x30 LED screen. It also has its own lighting equipment to make staging events easier.
Building the Coca-Cola Music Hall cost about $40 million. Its construction finished in 2020. However, the venue's opening was delayed until 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was originally supposed to open in March 2020.
In 2019, the rights to name the venue were sold to The Coca-Cola Company. This made it the first venue in Puerto Rico to sell its naming rights.
Puerto Rican singer Ednita Nazario performed the very first event at the venue. Her show was completely sold out.
On March 16, 2022, the Coca-Cola Music Hall hosted the Miss World 2021 beauty pageant. This event was originally planned for December 16, 2021, at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum.
