Coda Rossa Winery is a place in Franklinville, New Jersey, where they make wine. It's located in Gloucester County. The first grapevines were planted here in 2002.

The current owners bought the property in 2006. Coda Rossa Winery then opened its doors to visitors in 2010. They grow grapes on 10 acres of land. Each year, they produce about 1,500 cases of wine. A "case" usually means 12 bottles.

The name "Coda Rossa" comes from the Italian words for "red tail." This name was chosen because red-tailed hawks live near the farm.

How Coda Rossa Operates

Coda Rossa Winery has a special permit called a "plenary winery license." This license from the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control allows them to make as much wine as they want. It also lets them have up to 15 other places to sell their wine. They can also ship up to 12 cases of wine each year to customers.

Memberships and Other Projects

The winery is a member of two important groups:

  • The Garden State Wine Growers Association
  • The Outer Coastal Plain Vineyard Association

In 2004, the same people who own Coda Rossa started another business. It's called The Wine Room and is in Cherry Hill. This place teaches people how to make their own wine.
