Coin is a small city in Page County, Iowa, United States. It's a quiet place with a population of 176 people, according to the 2020 census. A cool feature of Coin is the Wabash Trace, which used to be a railroad but is now a popular trail for biking and walking.

History of Coin
Coin was planned out and officially established in 1879. This happened when the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad line was being built through the area. The origin of the name "Coin" is a bit of a mystery; nobody is quite sure how the city got its unique name!
Geography and Location
Coin is located along the Tarkio River. The city covers a total area of about 2.32 square kilometers (or 0.89 square miles). All of this area is land, meaning there are no large lakes or rivers within the city limits.
