Coleman is a small community in Randolph County, Georgia, in the United States. It used to be an official city but is now known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area the government tracks for population information, even though it's not an official city anymore. In 2020, about 116 people lived there. The city government was officially ended on January 1, 2007.

History of Coleman

The community of Coleman got its name from Andy Coleman. He was the first person to own the land where the town was built. In 1889, the government of Georgia officially made Coleman a "Town." Its borders stretched out half a mile from the South Western Railroad station.
