The Columbia Cemetery in Columbia, Missouri has been a special place for burials since 1820. It's a historic cemetery where many people from different backgrounds have been laid to rest. Columbia Cemetery: A Historic Resting Place
Located on Broadway, near Downtown Columbia, this cemetery holds the graves of many important people. These individuals played big roles in Missouri's history, at the University of Missouri, or in the city of Columbia itself.
The cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. This means it's recognized as a significant historical site. It is still an active cemetery today, with space for more burials. In 2020, it celebrated its 200th anniversary.
