Columbus Grove is a small village located in Putnam County, Ohio, United States. It is part of Pleasant Township. In 2020, about 2,160 people lived there.

History of Columbus Grove
Columbus Grove was started in 1842. Many of the first people who settled here came from Columbus, Ohio. That's why they chose the name "Columbus Grove." A post office opened in the village in 1862. The village officially became a town in 1864.
In 1887, Grover Cleveland, who was the President at the time, gave a short speech here. He spoke from a train car during a special trip.
In June 2012, a big storm called a derecho hit the area. It caused a lot of damage to a business in the downtown area.
The village celebrated its 150th birthday in June 2014. This kind of celebration is called a "sesquicentennial."
On October 10, 2024, a local news event happened. A vehicle was involved in an incident with a CSX train on Main Street. Three people were able to get out of the vehicle safely. Two of them were taken to a hospital for minor injuries.

Columbus Grove is where two important Ohio state roads meet: Route 12 and Route 65.
The United States Census Bureau says that the village covers about 1.08 square miles (2.8 square kilometers) of land. There is no water area within the village limits.
