Comănești (which is Komanestie in German) is a small commune in Suceava County, Romania. A commune is like a small local area with its own government.
Comănești is made up of two villages: Comănești and Humoreni. These villages used to be part of another commune called Botoșana. But in 2002, they became their own separate commune.

The Local Council
Every commune has a local council. This group of people helps make decisions for the area. They are chosen by the people who live there in elections.
The current local council in Comănești has members from different political groups. The National Liberal Party (PNL) has the most members on the council. This means they have a big say in how things are run. Other parties also have members on the council, like the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the People's Movement Party (PMP).
