Connie Price-Smith (born Constance Marie Price on June 3, 1962) is an amazing American athlete. She was a top competitor in track and field events. Connie was especially good at the shot put and discus throw. She even competed in the Olympic Games four times! Connie finished her studies at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1985.

After her time as an athlete, Connie Price-Smith became a successful coach. She helped other athletes reach their goals.
Coaching for the Olympics
Connie was chosen to be part of the coaching team for the 2012 Olympics in London. She helped the American track and field team. Later, she was named the head coach for the U.S. women's team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Leading the University of Mississippi Team
On July 21, 2015, Connie started a new role. She became the head coach for track and field at the University of Mississippi. She has been leading their team ever since.
Hall of Fame Recognition

In 1995, she earned another silver medal in shot put at the World Indoor Championships in Barcelona, Spain. That same year, she won a gold medal in shot put at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

In 1998, Connie won a bronze medal in shot put at the IAAF World Cup in Johannesburg, South Africa. She also took home a silver medal at the Goodwill Games in Uniondale, United States.
Her last gold medal at the Pan American Games was in 1999 in Winnipeg, Canada, where she won the shot put event. Connie continued to compete at a high level until 2001.
