A Look Back in Time

Connorville originally had a coal mine that employed about 60 people. This was a big part of the community's early life. A post office opened in Connorville in 1899. It helped people send and receive mail for many years, closing in 1958. Besides the post office, there was also a country store where people could buy everyday items. Before the 2020 census, Connorville was officially recognized as a "census-designated place" for the first time.

Connorville is located in the southern part of Jefferson County, Ohio. It sits right in the middle of Warren Township. A road called Ohio State Route 150 runs along the southern edge of the community. This road leads east about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to Rayland. If you go west about 5 miles (8 km), you'll reach Dillonvale. Connorville is in the valley of Short Creek, a stream that flows east into the Ohio River near Rayland.
