New Features for Baseball Teams
On May 10, 2012, the La Crosse Loggers and the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse baseball team made a special agreement. This partnership allowed the UW-La Crosse baseball team to play their games at Copeland Park.
In return for this, the park received some great new features. These upgrades included an artificial turf infield, which is a special type of fake grass. A large videoboard was also added to the scoreboard in left field. Plus, new batting cages were built for players to practice hitting. The UW-La Crosse team started playing at Copeland Park in 2014.
