Cordalba is a small rural town in the Bundaberg Region of Queensland, Australia. In 2021, about 467 people lived here.
The town was started in 1896. It played an important part in the 1911 sugar workers' strike.

Cordalba has a warm, wet climate in summer and mild winters. The Loggers Creek flows through the town.

Cordalba State School: A Place to Learn
Cordalba State School is a primary school for students from Prep to Year Six. It opened way back in 1894. In 2017, about 69 students attended the school. It's a key part of the community.
There are no high schools in Cordalba. Older students usually go to Isis District State High School in Childers.
Cordalba's Past: A Glimpse into History
The first people to live in this area were the Kabi (or Kabi Kabi) tribe. They lived off the land, eating native foods and fishing. The name "Cordalba" comes from their language and means "place of the koalas."
The Railway's Arrival
A big change for Cordalba happened in 1896 when the railway line arrived. This connected Cordalba to the main line from Childers. The town became an important railway station and depot until 1964. You can still see an old railway goods shed from those days.
The Cordalba Post Office opened in 1896 and closed in 1981. The Commercial Hotel is also famous, partly because of its former owner, Maude Sheehan.
