The Cordillera Carabaya (which means "Carabaya mountain range" in Spanish) is a cool group of mountains in the Andes in Peru. It stretches for about 75 kilometers (about 47 miles). You can find it in the Puno Region, specifically in the Carabaya Province.
This mountain range is located between two other famous mountain ranges. To its northwest is the Vilcanota range, and to its southeast is the Apolobamba range. It's also found north and northeast of a town called Macusani.
Tall Peaks of Carabaya
The highest mountain in the Carabaya range is called Allincapac. It stands super tall at 5,805 meters (about 19,045 feet) above sea level! Imagine climbing that high.
