Corey Sanders (born March 7, 1975) is an American boxing trainer and former professional boxer. He was known by his nickname "T-Rex". One of Sanders' most famous wins was when he knocked out Oleg Maskaev in 2002. This was a big surprise because Maskaev later became a world champion. Corey Sanders also fought other well-known boxers like Michael Grant and Andrew Golota. People often remember his tough fight with Golota, where both boxers traded many strong punches.

Early Life and Choices
Corey Sanders grew up in Washington D.C.. He went to Theodore Roosevelt High School. There, he was a great player in football, earning an "All-City lineman" title. He had chances to play college football. However, he decided to stay home to care for his sick mother. He then attended Montgomery College.
Starting His Boxing Journey
Sanders began boxing in 1993 when he was 19 years old. He had a very short time as an amateur boxer. Just one year later, in 1994, he became a professional boxer.
Corey Sanders' Professional Fights
Corey Sanders gained a lot of attention in 2006. He took part in a series of special boxing matches against the famous heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson. These matches were part of a world tour to help Tyson pay off some money he owed. In these fights, Tyson did not wear headgear, but Sanders did. It seemed like Tyson was holding back so the show could continue longer.
Corey Sanders had his last professional fight in December 2007. He lost a six-round match to Dennis Bakhtov. This was his seventh loss in a row at that time. His final professional record shows he won 23 fights (15 by knockout) and lost 13 fights out of 36 total matches.
