Corey's Rugby League Journey

Starting His Career

From 2010 to 2011, Corey played for the Souths Logan Magpies. This was in the Queensland Cup, a league in Australia. In 2012, he moved to the Eastern Suburbs Tigers. This gave him a chance to train with the National Rugby League team, the Melbourne Storm. The Storm wanted to sign Corey, but they didn't have enough room under their salary cap.

In April 2013, while playing for the Eastern Suburbs Tigers, Corey signed a two-year contract. This contract was with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Playing for the Bulldogs (2014-2015)

Corey made his NRL debut in Round 1 of 2014. He played for Canterbury-Bankstown against the Brisbane Broncos. He played 25 games for Canterbury in 2014. This included the 2014 NRL Grand Final. His team lost to the South Sydney team.

In August 2015, Corey signed a new contract. He agreed to play for the Super League team, Widnes Vikings, for two years.

Time with Widnes Vikings (2016)

In the 2016 season, Corey had a great year with the Vikings. He scored 27 tries for his team. This made him the second-highest try scorer in the entire league. Corey helped the Vikings finish 7th in the Super League that year.

Return to the NRL with Wests Tigers (2018-2019)

In 2018, Corey came back to the NRL to play for the Wests Tigers. He was expected to add strength to the team. Even though another player was set to be fullback, Corey played that position in a trial game. His coach, Ivan Cleary, praised his performance.

Corey started the season playing on the right wing. In his first game, he scored a winning try against the Sydney Roosters. When another player got injured, Corey became the team's fullback. He quickly became known as a great new player for the team. He played 20 games in a row. He was the team's top try-scorer with 9 tries before an ankle injury ended his season early.

In 2019, Corey continued to play well for the Wests Tigers. In Round 2, he scored two tries against the New Zealand Warriors. He also scored two tries in Round 19 against Newcastle. Corey played 22 games that season and scored 9 tries. The team finished 9th and just missed out on the finals.

Joining the Gold Coast Titans (2020-2022)

In the 2021 NRL season, Corey played 18 games for the Gold Coast. This included their final game, which they lost to the Sydney Roosters.

Corey played 13 games for the Gold Coast in the 2022 NRL season. He scored one try. The Gold Coast team finished 13th and did not make the finals.
