Corinth is about 8 miles (13 kilometers) east of Johnston City. You can find it on the north side of Section 21, Township 8 South, Range 4 East of the Third Principal Meridian. It's right where Corinth Road and Paulton/Thompsonville Roads meet.

Corinth was originally known by different names. It was first called Roberts' Prairie and Roberts' Settlement.
Post Office Operations
A post office was opened in Corinth on August 16, 1864. This was an important service for the community. However, the post office stopped operating on June 15, 1911. Today, people in the Corinth area get their mail from the post office in Thompsonville, Illinois.
