Cornelius Coe was born on September 17, 1975. He is a former American football player. He was a defensive specialist, which means he played on defense.
Coe played for four seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL). His teams included the Indiana Firebirds and Los Angeles Avengers. Before that, he played college football at Northern Michigan University. He was also a member of the Quad City Steamwheelers and Peoria Pirates.

College Football Career
Coe played college football for the Northern Michigan Wildcats. He was a very important player for them. He played for four years and was a "letterman," which means he earned a special award for playing well.
During his college career, he made 291 tackles. He also caught ten interceptions. He was chosen twice for the All-MIFC Defense First Team. This means he was one of the best defensive players in his conference. He was also named Northern Michigan’s Outstanding Defensive Back two times. In his last year, Coe led his team with 102 tackles. He made 13 tackles that caused the other team to lose yards.
Professional Football Journey
Cornelius Coe started his professional career in 2000. He played for the Quad City Steamwheelers in the af2 league. Before that, he had played for the Peoria Pirates in the Indoor Football League.
In 2000, Coe helped the Steamwheelers have an amazing season. They won every game, going 19-0. They also won the ArenaCup I championship. Coe was named the af2 Defensive Player of the Year. He led the league with 169 tackles. He also led the league with six fumble recoveries. He was tied for third in the af2 with nine interceptions. He was second with three forced fumbles.
On January 22, 2001, he signed with the Indiana Firebirds in the main Arena Football League (AFL). He played for the Firebirds in 2001 and 2002. In 2001, he was named to the Second Team All-Arena. He also made the AFL All-Rookie Team.
On March 15, 2003, Coe signed with the Los Angeles Avengers of the AFL. He was later released by the Avengers on November 24, 2004.
