Art and History in Cornillon-Confoux
This town has some interesting cultural features, including art and old buildings.
Famous Sculpture
Near the local church, you can find a special sculpture called The Victory of Ikaria. A famous artist named Igor Mitoraj, who lived in the area, created it. This sculpture was put in place at the end of 2007. It stands close to a statue of the Virgin Mary, which represents purity. It is also near a symbol of the French Republic called Marianne.
Traditional Stone Shelters
All around the village and in the nearby areas, you can see many traditional French bories. These are old stone shelters built without any mortar. They show a unique part of the region's history and building style.
