Making Video Games

Corrinne began her career programming for the King's Quest game series. These games were for the Apple II computer. She also created her own 3D engine projects. She sold these special software tools to different companies.

She worked on QuickDraw 3D, an early tool for making computer graphics. Corrinne also helped create the game Zombie. She designed the video game engine used in Spec Ops: Rangers Lead The Way.

In 1997, she joined a company called Ion Storm. There, she worked on the game Anachronox. She also became the Director of Technology for the studio. At Ion Storm, she managed the Quake 2 code. This code was used for their games and other games based on that engine.

Corrinne greatly changed the Epic Unreal Engine 3. She focused on improving how lighting, shadows, and physics worked in games.

Corrinne was also a founding member of Microsoft's Direct3D Advisory Board. This group helps guide how graphics technology develops. She also worked on CUDA and GPU simulation at NVidia.

In 2008, Microsoft Studios hired Corrinne. She became the Principal Engine Architect for 343 Industries. This studio was created to manage the Halo game series. Corrinne programmed lighting and facial animation for Halo 4. She also developed new technology for the game, released in 2012. While working on Halo, she researched new lighting methods.
