Cory Hall has had an interesting journey in football, both as a player and a coach. He has coached at both high school and college levels.
High School Coaching Success
Hall was the head coach at Clovis North High School for three seasons. This was from 2011 to 2013. During his time there, he led the team to a great record of 32 wins and only 8 losses. His teams won the CIF Central Valley Championship in two different divisions. They also earned second place in the Central Section in 2012. After these successes, Hall decided to coach at the college level.
College Coaching Experience
In 2014, Hall worked as a graduate assistant at Wisconsin. A graduate assistant helps coaches with various tasks while also studying. The next year, in 2015, he became the secondary coach at Weber State. A secondary coach trains players who defend against passes. In 2016, he joined Oregon State as their cornerbacks coach. On October 9, 2017, Cory Hall was named the interim head coach for Oregon State. An interim coach is a temporary coach who takes over when the main coach leaves. This happened after Gary Andersen and the university decided to part ways. Even though Hall had the support of the fans and players, the team faced challenges. They had some close losses before the season ended. After the 2017 season, Hall left Oregon State. He then became the defensive backs coach at Central Michigan University in 2018. He later resigned from that position in February 2019.
