Cory Hardrict (born November 9, 1979) is an American actor and producer. He is known for appearing in many popular movies and television shows since the late 1990s, including American Sniper and All American: Homecoming.
Personal Life
Cory Hardrict was born in Chicago, Illinois. For many years, he was in a relationship with actress Tia Mowry, who is famous for the show Sister, Sister. They got engaged on Christmas Day in 2006 after dating for six years.
The couple married on April 20, 2008, in Santa Barbara, California. They have two children together. Their son, Cree Taylor, was born on June 28, 2011. Their daughter, Cairo Tiahna, was born on May 5, 2018. The story of Tia's first pregnancy was shown on the reality TV show Tia & Tamera.
In October 2022, Cory and Tia announced they were separating. Their divorce was finalized in April 2023.
Acting Career
Cory Hardrict has been acting since he was a teenager. He started his career with guest roles in popular TV shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Early Roles
Hardrict's first roles were in well-known prime-time TV shows. He appeared in episodes of Smart Guy, That's So Raven, Felicity, and the medical drama ER.
His first movie was the 1999 romantic comedy Never Been Kissed, which starred Drew Barrymore. He also had a role in the 2001 drama Crazy/Beautiful. In 1999, he acted in the movie Hollywood Horror with his future wife, Tia Mowry, and her twin sister, Tamera Mowry.
Breakthrough Roles
In 2007, Hardrict had a recurring role on the TV series Lincoln Heights. The next year, he had an important part in the movie Gran Torino, which was directed by and starred the famous actor Clint Eastwood. This role helped more people notice his talent.
He also appeared in singer Brandy's music video for her song "Right Here (Departed)" in 2008. The following year, he was in the popular romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You.
Recent Work
Hardrict reunited with director Clint Eastwood for the 2014 movie American Sniper, where he played a character named 'D' Dandridge. In 2015, he starred as June in the movie Brotherly Love alongside Keke Palmer.
In 2017, he played a role in All Eyez on Me, a movie about the life of rapper Tupac Shakur. From 2018 to 2019, he was a main character in the drama series The Oath.
More recently, he has had recurring roles in the TV shows S.W.A.T. and The Chi. Since 2022, he has been a main cast member on All American: Homecoming, playing Coach Marcus Turner. The show is a spin-off of the popular series All American.
