The Cribbar is a famous reef located off the Towan Headland in Newquay, Cornwall, England. A reef is a ridge of rocks, sand, or coral near the surface of the water. In the Cornish language, "kribow" means reefs, which is where The Cribbar gets its name. It's also known by a dramatic nickname: the Widow Maker!
