Crowd Lu (Chinese: 盧廣仲) is a talented singer, songwriter, and actor from Taiwan. He was born on July 15, 1985. People sometimes call him "Vitas Lu." This is because he can sing very high notes, just like the famous Russian singer Vitas.
When he was in his first year at Tamkang University, Crowd Lu had a serious car accident. While he was recovering in the hospital, he started to learn how to play the guitar. This accident changed his life and led him to music. The next year, he won top awards for writing music and performing at university contests. In 2009, he won two big awards at the 20th Golden Melody Awards: Best New Artist and Best Composer.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Crowd Lu grew up in Tainan, Taiwan, in a family that loved art and culture. His mother collected jazz records from Western countries. This made him interested in music from a very young age. He showed his talent early on. He could sing songs by famous artists like Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson after hearing them only a few times.
His grandmother also helped him discover different kinds of music. She loved local Taiwanese TV shows and would sing their theme songs to help him and his sister fall asleep. This mix of music helped shape his unique style. He became known for being carefree, honest, and youthful in his songs.
After finishing high school in 2003, Lu moved to Taipei to study at Tamkang University. He first planned to study electrical engineering. But because of his car accident, he had to change his major to Spanish Literature.
Crowd Lu's Music Journey
In his first year at Tamkang University, Crowd Lu was hit by a bus. He had serious injuries to both of his legs. He spent several months in the hospital recovering. During this time, he picked up a guitar and began writing his own songs.
The next year, he won first place for his music and performance at a singing contest at Tamkang University. He then won again at a similar contest at National Chengchi University. A famous music producer named Zhong Cheng Hu noticed his talent. Together, they released three singles. One of them, "Good Morning, Beautiful Dawn!", was named one of Taiwan's Top Ten Singles in 2007. People loved his music so much that he sold 15,000 CDs of his singles just by word of mouth!
From late 2006 for over a year, Crowd Lu traveled all over Taiwan. He performed in diners and at universities. He gained many fans, especially among university students.
In 2008, he finished his tour after playing 100 concerts. On May 25, he released his first album, 100 Ways of Living. This album was full of honest songs about everyday life. It quickly became very popular and changed the music scene in Asia.
Just 88 days after his first album came out, Crowd Lu had his very first official concert on August 23, 2008. In 2009, his albums Seven Days and Live in Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) were both named among the Top 10 Selling Mandarin Albums of the Year in Hong Kong.
Crowd Lu also sang the theme song for the movie Your Name Engraved Herein. This song won the Best Original Film Song award at Taiwan's Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards. As of August 2022, the music video for the song has been watched over 58 million times on YouTube!
