History of Crystal Lake
Crystal Lake became an official city in 1899. Before that, in 1898, its streets and land were carefully planned out. This process is called "platting." It means someone drew a map showing where all the streets, lots, and public areas would be.
Geography and Location
Crystal Lake is found in the state of Iowa. It's located at specific coordinates: 43.223564 degrees North and -93.792073 degrees West. You can think of these as its exact address on a global map.
