Crystal Lake is a beautiful natural freshwater lake. You can find it in Lida Township, which is part of Otter Tail County, Minnesota, USA. It's a great spot to explore the outdoors!

How Big Is Crystal Lake?

Crystal Lake is shaped almost like a perfect circle. It covers a large area of about 1,317 acres (5 km2). That's like more than 1,300 football fields!

The deepest part of the lake goes down about 55 feet (17 m). That's as tall as a five-story building! But even though it has a deep spot, more than half of the lake (51 percent) is actually quite shallow. It's less than 15 ft (5 m) deep.

Where Is Crystal Lake Located?

Crystal Lake is surrounded by other interesting lakes. To its west, you'll find Lake Lizzie. These two lakes are connected by a special tunnel called a culvert. This culvert goes under County Road 31, and you can even boat through it!

A bigger lake called Lake Lida is close by to the south. However, Lake Lida doesn't connect directly to Crystal Lake. To the northwest, there's another smaller lake named Lake Franklin.
