Lake Lida is a beautiful lake found in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, in the United States. It's known for its sandy shores. The area around the lake, called Lida Township, even got its name from the lake itself!
This lake is quite long, stretching about 6 miles (10 km) from north to south. At its widest point, it measures about 4 miles (6 km) across from east to west. Just south of the main Lake Lida, there's a smaller part called "South Lake Lida." It's almost like a twin lake, separated by a narrow strip of land. To the north, you'll find other lakes nearby, like Lake Lizzie and the smaller Lake Crystal.
Exploring Lake Lida's Size
Lake Lida is quite deep in some spots. The deepest part is in the northern area, reaching about 58 feet (18 meters) down.
The lake covers a large area. It spreads out over about 5,564 acres (22.5 square kilometers). That's a lot of water!
