Lake Lizzie is a beautiful lake found in Otter Tail County, Minnesota. It is located within two areas called Dunn and Lida Township, Minnesota, Lida. This lake is a great place to explore nature and enjoy the outdoors.
Lake Lizzie's Size and Shape
Lake Lizzie is quite large, covering about 4,035 acres (16.33 km2) of water. That's like more than 3,000 football fields! The deepest part of the lake is in its northern section, reaching down to 66 feet (20 m). That's as tall as a six-story building!
The lake has a unique shape, looking a bit like the letter "L" from above. It's not known if this shape is why it's called Lake Lizzie. The southern part of the lake is quite shallow, usually less than ten feet deep. It has many water plants growing up to the surface, making it look a bit like a swamp. But don't let that fool you! The northern part of the lake is much deeper for its size.

Lake Lizzie is almost completely surrounded by other lakes, like a neighborhood of water bodies!
- To the south, it connects to Lake Lida. You can't boat between them because they are linked by a small pipe under County Highway 4.
- To the east, you'll find Lake Crystal. These two lakes are connected by a pipe under County Road 31, and you can actually boat through it!
- To the northwest, Lake Lizzie is connected to Pelican Lake. This connection happens through the Pelican River. It's like a watery highway between the lakes!
