History of Cullison
Cullison started as a busy stop on the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. This means it was a place where trains would stop to drop off and pick up goods and people. The city was named after John B. and Mary M. Cullison, who owned the land where the town was built.
A post office opened in Cullison in 1885. It helped people send and receive mail for many years until it closed in 1967.
