Cumberland City is a small town in Stewart County, Tennessee. In 2020, about 305 people lived there. It is part of the larger Clarksville area, which includes parts of Tennessee and Kentucky.
A very important power plant for the TVA is located in Cumberland City. This plant is called the Cumberland Fossil Plant. It sits along the Cumberland River. The plant creates a lot of electricity, about 2.6 gigawatts. This power helps many nearby cities, including Clarksville and Dickson. The tall smokestacks of the power plant are some of the tallest buildings in Tennessee. You can see them from more than 30 miles (48 kilometers) away!

The town covers a total area of about 5.3 square miles (13.7 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 4.8 square miles (12.4 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.5 square miles (1.3 square kilometers), is water.
There is also a special place nearby called Wells Creek crater. It is an impact crater, which means it was formed by something like a meteorite hitting the Earth. It is just south of the Cumberland Fossil Plant.
