Cuquenan Falls

Kukenan Falls is an amazing waterfall found in Venezuela. It's the second tallest main waterfall in Venezuela, right after the famous Angel Falls. It's also known as the second tallest waterfall in the world that drops in one single, huge leap! Overall, many people say it's the 11th highest waterfall on Earth. The water plunges about 2,211 feet (674 meters) in one big drop. After that, the water gently trickles down towards the base of the Kukenan Tepui.

Where is Kukenan Falls Located?

Kukenan Falls is found in a special place called the Kukenan Tepui. This tepui is a flat-topped mountain with very steep sides. It's located close to Mount Roraima. Mount Roraima is an important landmark because it marks the border between three countries: Brazil, Venezuela, and Guyana.

What is a Tepui?

A tepui is like a giant, flat-topped mountain that rises sharply from the surrounding jungle. These unique mountains are mostly found in the Guiana Highlands of South America, especially in Venezuela. They are often called "islands in the sky" because they are so isolated. Many tepuis have special plants and animals that can't be found anywhere else in the world!

Kukenan Falls and Mount Roraima

Mount Roraima also has its own waterfall, often called Roraima Falls. This waterfall drops off the tepui in four separate steps or leaps. Its height is thought to be around 2,000 feet (610 meters). Both Kukenan Falls and Roraima Falls are incredible natural wonders that show the beauty of Venezuela's landscape.
