Curtis R. Perry (born September 13, 1948) is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He was born in Washington, D.C.. Curtis Perry played as a forward.
He went to Southwest Missouri State University (now called Missouri State). While there, he helped his team win 28 games in a row. This was a school record!

Becoming a Pro Basketball Player
In 1970, Curtis Perry was chosen by two different leagues. The San Diego Rockets picked him in the 1970 NBA draft. The Virginia Squires also picked him in the American Basketball Association Draft.
Perry decided to play in the NBA. He played for the San Diego / Houston Rockets from 1970 to 1971. After that, he joined the Milwaukee Bucks from 1971 to 1974. His last team was the Phoenix Suns, where he played from 1974 to 1978.
Playing in the NBA
During his first year, Curtis Perry played for the San Diego Rockets. For a short time, he also played for the Northwest Travellers. He then returned to the Rockets.
He helped the Milwaukee Bucks win important titles. They won the NBA Midwest Division in 1971–72 and 1972–73. They also won the NBA Western Conference championship in 1973–74.
Later, with the Phoenix Suns, he helped them win the NBA Western Conference championship in 1975–76. On February 15, 1975, Perry had an amazing game. He scored 26 points and grabbed 22 rebounds. Rebounds are when a player gets the ball after a missed shot.
In the 1976 Finals, Curtis Perry was a very important player. He was part of what many call "the greatest game ever played" in NBA history.

Curtis Perry is the father of Byron Houston, who also played in the NBA. He also has a daughter named Leslie Hardin.
