Curtis "Curt" Tomasevicz (born September 17, 1980) is an American bobsledder. He started competing in bobsledding in 2004. Before that, he was a college football player.

Curt has won many medals in bobsledding. He earned six medals at the FIBT World Championships. These include two gold medals in the four-man event in 2009 and 2012. He also won a silver medal and three bronze medals in different events.

He competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, where his four-man team finished sixth. Curt was also an alternate for driver Steven Holcomb during the 2006–07 World Cup season. He won a gold medal in Cesana, Italy, during the 2007–08 season.

On January 15, 2010, it was announced that Curt made the US team for the 2010 Winter Olympics. He competed in both the two-man and four-man events. At these Olympics, he proudly won a gold medal.

About Curt's Life

Education and Football Career

Curt Tomasevicz studied at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He earned a bachelor's degree and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering. He also studied astronomy. In December 2017, he completed his PhD in biological systems engineering from the same university.

During his college years, Curt was a football player. He played as a fullback and middle linebacker for the Nebraska Cornhuskers team. This was from 2000 to 2003. In 2002, he was recognized as an Academic All-Big 12 player.

Current Role and Beliefs

Curt comes from Shelby, Nebraska. Today, he works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He teaches in the biological systems engineering department. He also visits schools across Nebraska to give talks.

Curt is a Catholic. He believes that faith and science can work well together. He also appreciates the long history of the Church.
