The Czech Republic national men's volleyball team is a group of top male volleyball players from the Czech Republic. They play for their country in big international games and friendly matches. The team is managed by the Czech Volleyball Federation. As of January 2023, the Czech Republic is ranked 22nd in the world by FIVB.
The FIVB (the world volleyball organization) sees the Czech Republic as the team that continues the history and records of Czechoslovakia (which was a country from 1948 to 1993). The Czech team had a "golden age" when they first started playing in international competitions. They won a gold medal at the very first European Championship in 1948. They went on to win two more European titles in 1955 and 1958. They also won two gold medals at the World Championships in 1956 and 1966. On top of that, they earned eight more medals in other major tournaments. This included a silver medal at the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games and a bronze medal four years later in Mexico City.
