Life and Career of DJ Megatron
Corey McGriff, or DJ Megatron, was a popular figure in music and entertainment. He started his career at a young age, showing his passion for music.
Early Days in Radio
DJ Megatron began his journey in radio as an intern at WRKS-FM, also known as Kiss FM, in New York. He worked alongside the famous radio personality Fatman Scoop. This experience helped him learn a lot about broadcasting.
After his time in New York, he moved to Boston. There, he worked for two years at WBOT-FM (Hot 97.7). Later, he spent two and a half years at WPHI-FM (The Beat) in Philadelphia. Through these stations, he shared hip hop, R&B, and other urban music with listeners across the United States.
Television and Online Shows
DJ Megatron was also a part of Black Entertainment Television (BET). He had a popular segment called "What's Good" on the show "106 & Park". This show counted down the top music videos. He also hosted BET's "On Blast," which was an online show.
Supporting Local Artists and Acting
Beyond his radio and TV work, DJ Megatron was a big supporter of new artists from his hometown of Staten Island. He helped many local musicians get their start.
