Dado Polumenta grew up in Bijelo Polje, a town in northern Montenegro. Music runs in his family! His uncle, Šako Polumenta, is also a famous singer. In 2008, they even sang a duet together called "Ljepša od noći" (which means More Beautiful Than Night).
Dado's first album, named Jasmina, came out in 2001. It didn't become a big hit right away. But after a short break, Dado became very well-known in the Balkan music scene. This happened after he released his second album, 100 stepeni, in 2005. This album was released through a big music company called Grand Production.
Later, he worked with another music company, Gold Music, and released the album Volim te... in 2007. On June 26, 2008, Dado released a song called "Moja srno," which is a ballad. He performed this song at the "Vogošća Festival 2008" in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dado's fourth album, Zauvijek tvoj, was released on December 15, 2008.
Dado released his fifth album, Buntovnik (meaning Rebel), on November 18, 2010. This was his second project with Grand Production.
