Dagonia, Missouri facts for kids
Dagonia was a small place in Reynolds County, Missouri, that didn't have its own local government, like a town or city. It was located in the western part of the county, right by a stream called Logan Creek.
You could find Dagonia along Missouri Route B. The town of Reynolds was about seven miles (11 km) to the north along Route B, and Ellington was approximately nine miles (14 km) to the southeast.
A Look at Its History
Dagonia had a post office that opened in 1897. This was a place where people could send and receive letters and packages. The post office stayed open for about 20 years, closing in 1917. The community got its name from a local family called Dagonia, who lived in the area.
