Damien Darnell Nash (born April 14, 1982 – died February 24, 2007) was an American football player. He played as a running back for two teams in the National Football League (NFL). These teams were the Tennessee Titans and the Denver Broncos. He played for the Broncos during the 2006 season.

Early Life and High School Sports
Damien Nash grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. For his first three years of high school, he went to Riverview Gardens High School. He then moved to East Saint Louis High School for his senior year. This was to follow his coach, Darren Sunkett.
Damien was an amazing football player in high school. He ran for 5,395 yards and scored 85 touchdowns. He also threw for 1,160 yards and 10 touchdowns.
He was also a talented track athlete. He could run the 100-meter dash in a very fast 10.3 seconds.
College Football Career
Damien was recruited to play football for the University of Missouri. Before going there, he attended Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas.
During his college career, Damien ran the ball 253 times. He gained 1,254 yards, averaging 5.0 yards per run. He also scored 12 rushing touchdowns. Besides running, he caught 36 passes for 282 yards. He scored two receiving touchdowns as well.
Professional Football Career
Damien Nash was chosen by the Tennessee Titans in the 2005 NFL Draft. He was the fifth pick in the fifth round. After playing one season with the Titans, he joined the Denver Broncos.
He started on the Broncos' practice squad. This is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. Later, he earned a spot on the main team. He became the third-string running back.
Damien played in six NFL games in total. Three games were with the Titans and three with the Broncos. He carried the ball 24 times for 98 yards. He also caught seven passes for 55 yards. He did not score any touchdowns in the NFL.
His best game was on November 19, 2006. This was against the San Diego Chargers. In that game, he ran the ball ten times for 52 yards. He also caught three passes for 36 yards.
Broncos coach Mike Shanahan spoke highly of Damien. He said, "We never had a guy play for one year, as Damien did, and influence so many people." This shows how much of an impact Damien had on his team.
A Legacy of Giving
Damien Nash suddenly became unwell after a charity basketball game. This game took place on February 23, 2007. He was found at a home in St. Louis and later passed away.
The charity event was very important to Damien. It was a fundraiser for the Darris Nash Find A Heart Foundation. This charity helps raise money for heart transplant research. Damien started this charity to honor his older brother, Darris. Darris had recently received a heart transplant.
Damien Nash is remembered for his kindness and his efforts to help others. He is survived by his wife, Judy Jae' Nash, and his daughter, Phaith Nash.
