Daniel Byrd (born November 20, 1985) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in popular movies and TV shows. Some of his famous works include the film A Cinderella Story (2004) and the TV series Cougar Town. He also appeared in Easy A (2010) and Young Sheldon.

About Dan Byrd
Dan Byrd was born in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Marietta, Georgia. Dan started acting when he was very young. His first movie was The First of May in 1999.
He then appeared in several TV shows. These included Judging Amy, ER, and Touched by an Angel. He got a bigger role in the TV miniseries Salem's Lot. In this show, he played a schoolboy named Mark Petrie.
Early Film and TV Roles
In 2004, Dan Byrd acted alongside Hilary Duff in A Cinderella Story. He played Carter Farrell, the best friend of Hilary Duff's character, Sam Montgomery. After this, he was in a short TV series called Clubhouse.
In 2006, Dan starred in The Hills Have Eyes. This was a remake of an older movie. He also appeared with John Travolta in the movie Lonely Hearts.
Dan was going to be in a remake of Revenge of the Nerds in 2007. However, the project was stopped after a few weeks of filming.
TV Comedy Roles
Dan then joined the TV comedy Aliens in America. He played a shy son whose family hosts a foreign exchange student. The show ran for one season.
In 2008, Dan had a recurring role in the TV series Heroes. He played Luke Campbell, a character who could create microwave pulses. He appeared in three episodes. Dan also guest-starred in an episode of Greek.
From 2009 to 2015, Dan Byrd starred in the comedy series Cougar Town. He played Travis Cobb, the son of Courteney Cox's character. The show was on ABC and then moved to TBS.
Later Projects
In 2010, Dan co-starred with Emma Stone in the movie Easy A. He also played the main character in the 2010 film Norman. In this movie, he plays a high school student who pretends to be sick to get attention.
More recently, Dan has appeared in other TV shows. These include Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Good Doctor (American TV series), and Young Sheldon. In Young Sheldon, he plays Pastor Rob.
