Story of Dance!
Dance! tells the exciting story of four women from three different generations. First, there's Grandma Estela Redondo (played by Mónica Galán). She is a wonderful retired dancer and owns her own dance academy. Then, there's Laura "Pekas" Redondo (Isabel Macedo), Estela's daughter. Laura is a strong choreographer and has two ex-husbands: Ricardo Gutiérrez (Juan Gil Navarro) and Jimmy Pereyra (Maximiliano Ghione).
Finally, we meet the two younger girls. Miranda (Justina Bustos) is Laura and Ricardo's daughter. She is a talented singer and dancer. Gala (Eva De Dominici) is Laura and Jimmy's daughter. She is confident and always goes after what she wants, showing a strong passion for dance.
The story begins as the Redondo family gets ready for auditions at Estela's dance academy. Laura is one of the judges. Both Gala and Miranda plan to audition, along with many other young people. Gala and Miranda are chosen because they are very talented. Miranda is great at classical dance, while Gala excels at modern styles.
One day, Gala meets a boy named Ramiro (Gonzalo de Cuadro) near the academy. He is a skilled dancer who never had a chance to show his talent. His parents left him when he was young. He became part of a group of orphaned kids called "Los Desechos," led by Violeta (Chachi Telesco). Gala offers Ramiro a scholarship to her grandmother's academy. They quickly become best friends.
Renata (Thelma Fardín), another member of "Los Desechos," doesn't like this at first. Ramiro had been her best friend for a long time. Everything changed when Gala arrived. Renata initially judges Gala. But after getting to know her, she realizes Gala is a great person. They become good friends too.
At the academy, everyone gets excited about big news. A Broadway show called "Hacia adelante" will be produced. Estela will direct it. The dancers for the show will be students from the academy. Auditions for the show begin right away. Miranda's group, including her friends Ciro (Pablo Arias ), Lucía (Julia Middleton), and Clara (Giselle Motta), makes it into the play. Gala's group also gets in. Her group includes Ramiro (Gonzalo de Cuadro), Vicky (Jimena Sabaris), Federico (Diego Viquez), Martu (Julieta Bartolomé), Matías (Ezequiel Rojo), and Lucas (Gabriel Segredo).
Love stories start to bloom in Dance!. In the first few episodes, Laura dates Manuel (Francisco Andrade). He is a student at the academy and much younger than her. She later ends the relationship. She doesn't feel comfortable dating someone almost the same age as her daughters.
Miranda is dating Javier (Rodrigo Raffeto). He works as her father's assistant. Gala visits her dad's bar and meets Nacho (Augusto Schuster). She falls for him right away. Jimmy asks Nacho to join the academy. He wants Nacho to look after his daughter when he can't. Nacho agrees, but he also starts to fall in love with Gala. This causes a problem for him. He feels like he would be letting Jimmy down. So, he tells Gala he cannot be with her. He invents a story that he is dating Lucas. Later, Nacho and Lucas end this lie. They say they "separated."
Renata was dating Federico. She decides to break up with him. Federico was embarrassed to introduce Renata to his family. After they break up, Renata starts to get closer to Lucas. Federico starts spending time with Martu. He uses Martu as a way to hide his true feelings for Renata from his parents. In the end, Fede and Renata get back together. They realize they can't be apart. Fede finally stands up to his parents.
Gala tries to forget Nacho. Then Teo (Francisco Donavan) comes into her life. Teo has recently lost his mother. His plan is to get close to Gala to reach Jimmy for a secret reason. Teo ends up closer to Miranda than Gala. This is because he and Miranda share a love for music. This makes Gala and Javier suspicious. They think there might be more than friendship between Miranda and Teo. Miranda denies it, even to herself.
Estela discovers she has a serious health issue. If not treated quickly, it could become very bad. She decides to keep it a secret from everyone. But her best friend, Gabe (Mirella Pascual), finds out. Gabe lives in the Redondo house. Gabe agrees to keep the secret. She pretends that she is the one who is sick. She also tries to convince Estela to get treatment. Finally, Estela agrees. The two friends travel to Chicago for the procedure.
