Daniela Elsa Nicolás Gómez (born on June 26, 1992) is a talented Chilean actress, model, and TV host. She is also known for winning the title of Miss Universe Chile 2020. After winning, she proudly represented her country, Chile, in the Miss Universe 2020 competition.

Outside of beauty pageants, Daniela has acted in several Chilean TV shows. Some of her well-known roles were in Mamá Mechona (from 2013 to 2014), Veinteañero a los 40 (in 2016), and Wena profe (in 2017).

Early Life and Education

Daniela Nicolás was born in Copiapó, Chile, on June 26, 1992. Her family has roots in Lebanon. After finishing high school, Daniela first started studying dentistry at university. However, she later decided to change her major to journalism.

In 2013, Daniela took a break from her studies to start her career in acting. She returned to university in 2020. She enrolled at Andrés Bello National University to continue her journalism studies.

In 2015, Daniela was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. This is a condition where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own healthy tissues. After her diagnosis, she began volunteering to help children who also have this disease.

Television Acting Roles

Daniela Nicolás started her acting journey on television in 2013. She was cast by Canal 13 in the Chilean TV series Mamá Mechona. In this show, she played the character Rebeca Lorenzini from 2013 until 2014.

After Mamá Mechona, Daniela appeared in other TV series. She played Gracia Montero in Veinteañero a los 40 in 2016. In 2017, she was Constanza Marshall in Wena profe. From 2019 to 2020, she played Sofía Echaurren in the Chilevisión series Gemelas. Besides acting, Daniela also worked as a TV presenter for Fox Sports Chile in 2016.

Beauty Pageant Journey

Daniela Nicolás began her journey in beauty pageants in 2020. She was chosen as Miss Universe Copiapó for the Miss Universe Chile 2020 competition. She was one of 25 semifinalists in the contest.

In November 2020, Daniela moved forward as one of the eight finalists. She then competed in the live final event. She made it into the top four and was eventually announced as the winner of Miss Universe Chile 2020. With this win, she became the first Miss Universe Chile from Copiapó since 1973.

As Miss Universe Chile, Daniela Nicolás went on to represent her country at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant.
