Danielle Jane Minogue (born 20 October 1971) is an Australian singer, actress, and television star. She first became famous as a child on the TV talent show Young Talent Time from 1982 to 1988. She later acted in the popular Australian soap opera Home and Away from 1989 to 1990.
In the early 1990s, Dannii launched her music career. Her first album, Love and Kisses, was a big hit. It included popular songs like "Love and Kisses" and "Jump to the Beat". After her second album, her music career slowed down, and she began acting in theatre.
In the late 1990s, she returned to music with a new dance sound. Her album Girl was released in 1997. Her 2003 album, Neon Nights, was her most successful. It featured hit singles like "I Begin to Wonder" and "Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling". In the UK, she has had nine Top 10 singles. Worldwide, she has sold over 7 million records.

Danielle Jane Minogue was born on 20 October 1971, in Melbourne, Australia. Her mother, Carol, was a dancer, and her father, Ronald, was an accountant. She is the youngest of three children. Her older sister is the famous singer Kylie Minogue, and her brother, Brendan, is a news cameraman.
Dannii started her career on Australian television when she was just seven years old. She appeared in soap operas like Skyways and The Sullivans. In 1982, she joined the music show Young Talent Time. She performed on the show for six years and became a popular star.
In 1988, she left Young Talent Time to focus on acting. She played Emma Jackson in the soap opera Home and Away. Her character was a rebellious teenager, and audiences loved her. She was even nominated for a Logie Award as Most Popular Actress.
Besides acting and singing, Dannii was also interested in fashion. In 1988, she released her own fashion line called Dannii, which sold out in just ten days.
Music Career
1990–1995: Pop Beginnings
In 1989, Minogue signed a record deal with Mushroom Records. Her first album, Dannii, came out in 1990. It was released internationally as Love and Kisses in 1991 and was a big success in the UK. The single "Love and Kisses" was a top 10 hit in both Australia and the UK. Other singles like "Success" and "Jump to the Beat" also did well.
In 1992, she starred in her first movie, Secrets. The film was about five teenagers trying to see The Beatles. A year later, she released her second album, Get into You. It had a fun, upbeat dance sound but was not as successful as her first album.
1996–2004: Dance Music Star

She returned for three more seasons. In 2010, she mentored the Boys category again, and her act, Matt Cardle, won. This made her the winning mentor for a second time. Minogue was praised for her style and her supportive mentoring on the show.

From 2007 to 2012, Minogue was a judge on Australia's Got Talent. She was known for her helpful feedback to the contestants. In 2013, she became a judge on The X Factor Australia. In her first season, her act, Dami Im, won the competition.

Personal Life
In 1994, Dannii Minogue married actor Julian McMahon, but they divorced in 1995. She was later in a relationship with Formula 1 driver Jacques Villeneuve.
From 2008 to 2012, she was with English model Kris Smith. In 2010, they had a son named Ethan.
Like her sister Kylie, Dannii has a large gay following and is a strong supporter of LGBT rights. She is also an ambassador for charities that raise awareness for AIDS and breast cancer research.
