Darrion Daniels, born on December 4, 1997, is an American football expert. He used to play professional football as a defensive end. Now, he works as a defensive analyst for the Oregon Ducks team.
Before becoming a coach, Darrion played college football. He played for both the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. After college, he joined the San Francisco 49ers in 2020.

Darrion Daniels' College Football Journey
Darrion Daniels was a highly-rated player in high school. He was considered a "four-star prospect." This means he was one of the top young players. He chose to play for the Oklahoma State Cowboys in 2015.
In his first year at Oklahoma State, he was named their most outstanding new defensive player. Later, in 2018, Darrion moved to play for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He even played alongside his brother, Damion, there. In 2019, Darrion was a team captain. He also received an honorable mention for the all-Big Ten team. This showed he was one of the best players in his conference.
Darrion Daniels' Professional Playing Career
After his college career, Darrion Daniels moved on to play professional football. He played for a few different teams.
Playing for the San Francisco 49ers
After the 2020 NFL Draft, Darrion signed with the San Francisco 49ers. He joined them as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't chosen in the draft but was still signed by a team. On September 5, 2020, he was waived by the team. This means the team let him go from the main roster.
However, he was signed to the 49ers' practice squad the very next day. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team. They can be called up to play in games if needed. Darrion was called up to the active roster for three games in 2020. He played against the Los Angeles Rams twice and the Washington Football Team. After each game, he went back to the practice squad. On December 25, 2020, he was officially promoted to the active roster.
On August 31, 2021, the 49ers waived Darrion again. He was then re-signed to their practice squad the next day.
Time with the Atlanta Falcons
Darrion Daniels signed with the Atlanta Falcons on July 27, 2022. He hoped to play for them. However, he was waived by the team on August 30, 2022.
Playing for the Birmingham Stallions
On December 16, 2022, Darrion signed with the Birmingham Stallions. This team plays in the USFL, which is another professional football league. He played with them for a while. He was released by the Stallions on December 6, 2023.
