Daryl Macon Jr. (born November 29, 1995) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a shooting guard or point guard. Daryl last played for the Shenzhen Leopards team. He also played college basketball for the Holmes Community College and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Early Life and High School Basketball
Daryl Macon Jr. was born on November 29, 1995. His parents are Deloise and Daryl Macon Sr. He also has two sisters, Tiffany and Tierra.
Daryl went to Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a star player on the school's basketball team. In his final year, he scored about 21 points in each game. He was also very good at shooting three-pointers. Because of his great playing, he was named to the first team 6A All-State.
College Basketball Career
Daryl started his college basketball journey at Holmes Community College in 2014. In his first year, he was named a junior college All-American. This means he was one of the best players in junior college basketball. He scored about 23 points per game. He also got 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game. He was excellent at free throws, making almost 89% of them.
In his second year (2015–16), he continued to play well. He averaged nearly 24 points per game. He was again named to the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Third Team All-America. After two years, Daryl moved to the Arkansas Razorbacks. He chose Arkansas over other big schools like Ole Miss and Memphis.
As a junior in 2016–17, Daryl was the second-highest scorer for his team. He averaged 13.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. He also made 1.1 steals per game. He was recognized for his strong play. He was named to the All-SEC Tournament team. He also earned SEC Player of the Week honors in February 2017. This was after he scored 30 points in a game against Ole Miss. After this season, he thought about joining the 2017 NBA draft. However, he decided to return to Arkansas for his senior year.
In his senior year, Daryl was named to the Second Team All-SEC. He averaged 17.1 points and 4.0 assists per game. He was the best in the SEC at shooting three-pointers, making 43.8% of them. He was named SEC Player of the Week three times that year. He also reached a special milestone. He joined his teammate Jaylen Barford in the 1,000-point club. This means he scored over 1,000 points during his time at Arkansas.
Professional Basketball Career
Dallas Mavericks and Texas Legends (2018–2019)
After college, Daryl Macon was not chosen in the 2018 NBA draft. However, many NBA teams and international clubs wanted him. He played for the Miami Heat in the NBA Summer League. On July 30, 2018, he signed a special contract with the Dallas Mavericks. This was a "two-way contract." It meant he would play for both the Mavericks and their minor league team, the Texas Legends.
In his first game with the Texas Legends, Daryl scored 35 points. The Legends won the game 126–120 against the Austin Spurs. Daryl made his first NBA game appearance on October 26, 2018. He played against the Toronto Raptors. He played for one minute but did not score any points. The Mavericks lost that game. On July 26, 2019, the Mavericks decided to let Daryl go from their team.
Miami Heat and Sioux Falls Skyforce (2019–2020)
On September 20, 2019, Daryl signed a contract with the Miami Heat. After training camp, the Heat changed his contract. It became another "two-way contract." This time, he would play for the Heat and their minor league team, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. On January 8, 2020, the Miami Heat released Daryl.
However, on January 16, 2020, the Sioux Falls Skyforce brought him back. Daryl played well for the Skyforce. He averaged 17.0 points and 4.7 assists per game.
Galatasaray (2020–2021)
On July 24, 2020, Daryl Macon signed with Galatasaray. This is a professional basketball team in Turkey. They play in the Basketball Super League (BSL) and the Basketball Champions League.
AEK Athens (2021)
On January 29, 2021, Daryl signed with AEK Athens. This team is in the Greek Basket League. Daryl played his first game for AEK on February 6, 2021. He scored 18 points in that game. He also had 3 assists and 3 rebounds. AEK won the game 91–59. He finished the season averaging 18.2 points and 3.7 assists per game.
Panathinaikos (2021–2022)

On July 9, 2022, Daryl signed a two-year contract with UNICS Kazan. This is a Russian club that plays in the VTB United League. In 39 games, he averaged 15.1 points. He also had 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He was very good at free throws, making 86.6% of them.
Shenzhen Leopards (2023)
In 2023, Daryl played for the Shenzhen Leopards in China. In 17 games, he averaged 18.9 points. He also had 6.1 assists per game, which was 15th best in the league. He shot 89.6% from the free throw line.
