David Edwards was an American soldier. He lived from 1841 to 1897. He fought bravely in the American Civil War. This was a big war in the United States. Edwards earned the Medal of Honor. This is the highest award for bravery a soldier can receive. He got this award for his actions during the Battle of Five Forks. This battle happened in Virginia on April 1, 1865. He received his Medal of Honor on May 10, 1865.
