Playing in the NBA
The Indiana Pacers chose David Harrison in the 2004 NBA Draft. He was the 29th player picked overall. People thought he would be a backup player at first. However, he got to play a lot sooner than expected. This was because some other players were injured or suspended.
David started 14 of the 43 games he played in his first year. This was during the 2004–05 season. Unfortunately, he missed the last two months of that season due to an injury.
In his second season, 2005–06, David played in 67 games for the Pacers. He started 17 of those games. On average, he played about 15.4 minutes per game. He scored 5.7 points and grabbed 3.8 rebounds per game.
Later, in 2008, David had an incident during a game. He showed his frustration in the San Antonio Spurs' locker room. This happened after a Spurs player, Matt Bonner, hit him in the face. David was suspended for one game by the Pacers. In his next game, he played very well. He had 4 points, 6 rebounds, and a career-high 6 blocks in just 20 minutes.
After the 2007–08 season, the Indiana Pacers did not offer David a new contract. He then tried out for the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, he was not kept on their team for the regular season.
