David Latta was a professional ice hockey player. He played as a left winger. He was born on January 3, 1967, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. David was chosen by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. He played 36 games in the National Hockey League, all for the Nordiques.

David Latta's Hockey Journey

David Latta started his hockey career playing in junior leagues. He played for the Orillia Travelways in the OPJHL. Later, he joined the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL. He was a strong player, scoring many goals and assists for his team.

Becoming a Pro Player

In 1985, David Latta was a top young player. The Quebec Nordiques picked him 15th overall in the NHL Draft. This meant he was one of the best young players in Canada. He played his first NHL game with the Nordiques in the 1985-86 season.

Playing in the NHL and AHL

David played 36 games in the National Hockey League for the Quebec Nordiques. He scored 4 goals and made 8 assists during his time in the NHL. He also spent a lot of time playing in the AHL. He played for teams like the Fredericton Express and the Halifax Citadels. In the AHL, he played 211 games, scoring 65 goals and 86 assists.

After playing in North America, David Latta also played hockey in other countries. He played for the Canadian national team in 1990-91. He also played in Germany for teams like EC Bad Nauheim and EC Bad Tölz. Later, he played in the UK for the Manchester Storm. His career ended in 1998 after playing for the Anchorage Aces in the WCHL.

International Play
